When 1Lt. Hawkes responded, it was time to let the Bridge know they were ready to launch. Shane tapped the companel in her cockpit in order to do so.

MCapt Vansen: Bridge, this is the Wild Cards, we're good to go!

Shane made some final checks across her cockput displays, as she waited for the Bridge to respond.

Treasar heard the call from the Shuttlebay from MCapt Vansen and responded himself.

Capt Adonis: Wild Cards, this is Captain Adonis. You're cleared to launch, and good luck out there.

The CO nodded to the Ops Officer to open the Shuttlebay Doors so that the 58th Squadron could launch.

When the Transporter Room reported that the officers they were transferring to Oriskany had beamed over, Cole informed the Captain.

Lt. JG Mitchell: Captain, the Oriskany officers have transported over. We're just waiting on Commander Ashborn to arrive.

He continued watching his console for anything else he needed to report to the CO as he monitored his station on the Bridge.

The CO looked towards the Ops Officer as he replied.

Capt Adonis: Good, have Commander Ashborn report to the Bridge once he puts his things in his quarters.

Treasar was looking forward to meeting his new XO. Even though Skonch did an excellent job, having an experienced XO was preferrable.

Shuttlebay 1 - Deck 9

While waiting in her cockpit, Shane heard the response from Captain Adonis as the Shuttlebay door opened. She switched her com over to address the squadron as the door rose.

MCapt Vansen: This is it, launch and stay in formation till we reach our first navpoint.

Shane hit the boosters on her SA-43X and launched her Hammerhead from the Shuttlebay, immediately followed by West, Damphousse, and Wang.

Hearing that they could launch, Cooper hit the boosters on his Hammerhead and flew out of the hanger bay of the Whitestar. He lined up on Wang's wing and held formation as ordered, still humming his little tune.

Shane checked her console, keeping a close eye on her sensor and targeting scans. Taking lead of the squadron, she manuevered into position and reported to Whitestar.

MCapt Vansen: This is Queen of Hearts, we are getting into position.

Shane briefly looked at the scanner display to find out where her team was.

MCapt Vansen: Hey, Jack of Diamonds, how are you looking out there?

Captain Vansen then checked back on her scans as she waited for a response.

Coop made sure that his systems were in order and then hit his com.

1Lt. Hawkes: Doing good Queen of Hearts, lined up on King of Club's wing right now.

Coop then looked over and waved to West, holding formation with the rest of the squadron.

USS Whitestar - Transporter Room - Deck 6

Chase materialized on the Transporter Pad and nodded to the crewman behind the console as he stepped off the pad and exited the Transporter Room. First proceeding to the quarters of the Executive Offier's, he dropped off his belongs. Then immediately afterwards Chase found the closest Turbolift and took it to the Bridge. Seeing Captain Adonis in his chair made him quite easy to spot.

Cmdr Ashborn: Commander Chase Ashborn, at your service Captain.

Chase remained standing and awaited a response from his new CO. He looked around the Bridge at the other officers at their stations and thought to himself This looks like quite a competent crew.

Treasar stood up to greet his new Executive Officer with a hearty handshake and smile.

Capt Adonis: Welcome aboard Whitestar, Commander Ashborn. I've read your Starfleet Personnel Record and found it to be quite extraordinary! I'm honored to have you aboard as my First Officer.

As the Captain waited on Cmdr Ashborn's response he looked to the other officers around the Bridge to see if they were going to welcome the new XO as well.
