It wasn't long at all before Tony heard back from SB34's Ops Department. They informed him the transmission to Event Horizon and Sutherland were setup and acknowledged by both vessels that they were ready to receive. The lighting on Como Carpathia was perfect, as was the ambient lighting on the Bridge to show exactly who was in attendance. It looked like they were ready to broadcast so the Rear Admiral held his hand up at E.J. as he spoke to the Commodore.
RAdm Martinelli:
Alright E.J. get ready, we're all set on this end. Start your address in five, four, three, two....
Without audibly saying
one
Tony just use his finger to indicate there was one second left and then pointed to Como Carpathia to indicate it was now time for him to start speaking to everyone. The broadcast was to be received throughout SB34 as well as transmitted to both Event Horizon through the clandestine capabilities of USS Explorer, and a direct connection to the Sutherland through the subspace transceiver SB34 used to remain in contact with the fleet. It wouldn't be more than a few moments before the Commodore would be on every monitor in the Gamma Quadrant that were tuned into the service for Capt Adonis. _________________

E.J. cleared his throat as he was about to speak to those in attendance and all those watching via the live stream broadcast. It was somewhat difficult for him to be doing this considering he was speaking about the death of the one person here in Starfleet that knew him the longest. Nevertheless, the Commodore went on to speak about his friend.
Como Carpathia:
As we know, my friend Treasar lost his life here on the Bridge on Stardate: 239408.03 when the Deltauran creature fired the beams from its eyes and stuck an area by the Bridge causing severe damage. Captain Adonis was pierced through the heart by a shard of metal that fell from the ceiling killing him almost instantly. From those who were on the Bridge with him when the attack occurred, their reports show the Captain died so quickly, he didn’t even have time to tell Commander Ashborn he was now in command.
It was getting harder to continue, but E.J. persevered…
Como Carpathia:
I met Treasar back in high school on Earth and we quickly became friends when we learned of each other’s interests in Starfleet. We graduated together and quickly took our entrance exams for the Academy scoring well enough to attend the very same year. Although we went down different paths, Treasar’s being Starship operations and mine being engineering, we remained in constant contact with each other. We were best friends, so staying in close contact wasn’t hard for either of us. Even while we were assigned to different ships, we would chat over subspace communications whenever possible. I was the one who told Treasar about the opening for a Captain on our Akira Class vessel, so I very excited to hear he was coming to Starbase 34 to become the new Commanding Officer of Whitestar. I really thought Captain Adonis would be on the Bridge of his ship for many years…
Tears began to well up in the Commodore’s eyes and he continued…
Como Carpathia:
Of my friend I can only say this…of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most…human.
E.J. began to openly cry over the loss of his best friend from childhood. He was thinking had he never mentioned the opening for a new Commanding Officer for Whitestar, then perhaps Treasar would still be alive. It was too hard to continue, so he looked towards another close friend of his for some support. The Commodore remained silent as tears rolled down his face, but he was still able to send a message telepathically…
Como Carpathia:
Aeryck, please help me…

The Admiral quickly rose from where he was seated and moved to the center of the Bridge where E.J. was standing and spoke to the cameras that were now focused on him, giving the opportunity for the Commodore to take the seat where Aeryck had occupied.
Adm Arayuss:
Today we mourn the loss of a good friend who was very loyal and kind. Captain Adonis may of had many faults, but in the end Treasar would do what he could to do the right thing and help the people he cared about. Being a Captain was always something he dreamed about so when the opportunity for a new Commanding Officer surface here in Gamma Fleet, Treasar was quick to submit his application for transfer. I immediately approved it under the recommendation of Commodore Carpathia. Even though Captain Adonis was only able to command one mission aboard Whitestar, he earned the respect of his entire crew. The loss of the Captain's life is deeply felt by them all, as well as those of his colleagues and friends. The Commodore and I have decided to cremate the remains of Captain Adonis where his urn will be permanently affixed to a shelf in the Main Lounge here aboard Whitestar. That way Treasar will be able to travel the Gamma Quadrant aboard this vessel, which was his intention all along.
Aeryck turned to all the people behind him and looked towards them as he spoke.
Adm Arayuss:
I'm sure we would all agree this is something Captain Adonis would've wanted. I'd like to give the opportunity to anyone else that would like to come up here and say a few words about Treasar.
As the CinC waited for any one of them to step up to the center of the Bridge, he walked over to where Como Carpathia was seated and place a hand on the Commodore's shoulder. Aeryck could sense the overwhelming amount of sorrow his friend was feeling, which was causing the Admiral's eyes to tear up with sadness too. Aeryck was truly going to miss Treasar and his unusual habits. Adm Arayuss knew Capt Adonis was the type of friend that could never be replaced. _________________

With Chase being the XO who served directly under Capt Adonis, he felt he should say something about the Captain. Getting up from where the XO had taken a seat at the Sec/Tac Station, Chase walked to the center of the Bridge and addressed those in the Command Center as well as everyone else watching.
Cmdr Ashborn:
As most of you know, I served under Captain Adonis when I was transferred from Oriskany. Let me tell you, at first I was not happy about it. But quickly after I met the Captain, I grew to enjoy serving under him. He was a kind soul and would do anything to protect his crew. Captain Adonis was stern, but also had a great sense of humor. I'm sure those of us who served with him, will miss the idiosyncrasies that made the Captain so interesting to serve under.
The XO stood there quietly for a moment and prayed for the soul of his former Captain, may he find some peace in the afterlife that he could not find while he was alive. After Chase finished his silent prayer for Capt Adonis, the XO returned to where he was stationed when the Captain was killed. Once back behind the Sec/Tac Station, Chase looked toward the other members of the Senior Staff on the Bridge to say something about the Captain. _________________

The Vulcan Science Officer, Mr. Skonch, was next to walk to the center of the Bridge and address everyone watching either in person or through the live stream throughout SB34 and to all the ships receiving the transmission in the Gamma Quadrant. In his usual stoic manner, the Commander spoke to everybody about his experiences with Capt Adonis.
Cmdr Skonch:
I met Captain Adonis when we departed on our first mission together to Sector Epsilon to transport personnel to Oriskany. I held him in high regard not just because he was my superior officer, but due to his Starfleet record as being such an upstanding officer in his treatment of others. In my experience, I have come across some officers who actually feel they are superior to their shipmates because of their ranks. Captain Adonis was never that way, he treated everyone as a friend regardless of their rank. The Captain made everyone feel valuable to him, no one was expendable in his eyes. That is a quality I highly regard. His presence will be missed by everyone who knew him, myself included. May his journey to immortality be free of incident.
Skonch returned to where he was standing among the other Senior Officers of Whitestar, Dr. Sonny Brewer and Counselor Kunti Ho. The Vulcan Science Officer gathered that they would have something to add as well since they knew the Captain for the same amount of time Mr. Skonch did. The Commander turned and looked at the both of them indicating it was their turn to speak about their ill fated Captain. _________________
