It wasn't long at all before Tony heard back from SB34's Ops Department. They informed him the transmission to Event Horizon and Sutherland were setup and acknowledged by both vessels that they were ready to receive. The lighting on Como Carpathia was perfect, as was the ambient lighting on the Bridge to show exactly who was in attendance. It looked like they were ready to broadcast so the Rear Admiral held his hand up at E.J. as he spoke to the Commodore.

RAdm Martinelli: Alright E.J. get ready, we're all set on this end. Start your address in five, four, three, two....

Without audibly saying one Tony just use his finger to indicate there was one second left and then pointed to Como Carpathia to indicate it was now time for him to start speaking to everyone. The broadcast was to be received throughout SB34 as well as transmitted to both Event Horizon through the clandestine capabilities of USS Explorer, and a direct connection to the Sutherland through the subspace transceiver SB34 used to remain in contact with the fleet. It wouldn't be more than a few moments before the Commodore would be on every monitor in the Gamma Quadrant that were tuned into the service for Capt Adonis.

E.J. cleared his throat as he was about to speak to those in attendance and all those watching via the live stream broadcast. It was somewhat difficult for him to be doing this considering he was speaking about the death of the one person here in Starfleet that knew him the longest. Nevertheless, the Commodore went on to speak about his friend.

Como Carpathia: As we know, my friend Treasar lost his life here on the Bridge on Stardate: 239408.03 when the Deltauran creature fired the beams from its eyes and stuck an area by the Bridge causing severe damage. Captain Adonis was pierced through the heart by a shard of metal that fell from the ceiling killing him almost instantly. From those who were on the Bridge with him when the attack occurred, their reports show the Captain died so quickly, he didn’t even have time to tell Commander Ashborn he was now in command.

It was getting harder to continue, but E.J. persevered…

Como Carpathia: I met Treasar back in high school on Earth and we quickly became friends when we learned of each other’s interests in Starfleet. We graduated together and quickly took our entrance exams for the Academy scoring well enough to attend the very same year. Although we went down different paths, Treasar’s being Starship operations and mine being engineering, we remained in constant contact with each other. We were best friends, so staying in close contact wasn’t hard for either of us. Even while we were assigned to different ships, we would chat over subspace communications whenever possible. I was the one who told Treasar about the opening for a Captain on our Akira Class vessel, so I very excited to hear he was coming to Starbase 34 to become the new Commanding Officer of Whitestar. I really thought Captain Adonis would be on the Bridge of his ship for many years…

Tears began to well up in the Commodore’s eyes and he continued…

Como Carpathia: Of my friend I can only say this…of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most…human.

E.J. began to openly cry over the loss of his best friend from childhood. He was thinking had he never mentioned the opening for a new Commanding Officer for Whitestar, then perhaps Treasar would still be alive. It was too hard to continue, so he looked towards another close friend of his for some support. The Commodore remained silent as tears rolled down his face, but he was still able to send a message telepathically…

Como Carpathia: Aeryck, please help me…

The Admiral quickly rose from where he was seated and moved to the center of the Bridge where E.J. was standing and spoke to the cameras that were now focused on him, giving the opportunity for the Commodore to take the seat where Aeryck had occupied.

Adm Arayuss: Today we mourn the loss of a good friend who was very loyal and kind. Captain Adonis may of had many faults, but in the end Treasar would do what he could to do the right thing and help the people he cared about. Being a Captain was always something he dreamed about so when the opportunity for a new Commanding Officer surface here in Gamma Fleet, Treasar was quick to submit his application for transfer. I immediately approved it under the recommendation of Commodore Carpathia. Even though Captain Adonis was only able to command one mission aboard Whitestar, he earned the respect of his entire crew. The loss of the Captain's life is deeply felt by them all, as well as those of his colleagues and friends. The Commodore and I have decided to cremate the remains of Captain Adonis where his urn will be permanently affixed to a shelf in the Main Lounge here aboard Whitestar. That way Treasar will be able to travel the Gamma Quadrant aboard this vessel, which was his intention all along.

Aeryck turned to all the people behind him and looked towards them as he spoke.

Adm Arayuss: I'm sure we would all agree this is something Captain Adonis would've wanted. I'd like to give the opportunity to anyone else that would like to come up here and say a few words about Treasar.

As the CinC waited for any one of them to step up to the center of the Bridge, he walked over to where Como Carpathia was seated and place a hand on the Commodore's shoulder. Aeryck could sense the overwhelming amount of sorrow his friend was feeling, which was causing the Admiral's eyes to tear up with sadness too. Aeryck was truly going to miss Treasar and his unusual habits. Adm Arayuss knew Capt Adonis was the type of friend that could never be replaced.

With Chase being the XO who served directly under Capt Adonis, he felt he should say something about the Captain. Getting up from where the XO had taken a seat at the Sec/Tac Station, Chase walked to the center of the Bridge and addressed those in the Command Center as well as everyone else watching.

Cmdr Ashborn: As most of you know, I served under Captain Adonis when I was transferred from Oriskany. Let me tell you, at first I was not happy about it. But quickly after I met the Captain, I grew to enjoy serving under him. He was a kind soul and would do anything to protect his crew. Captain Adonis was stern, but also had a great sense of humor. I'm sure those of us who served with him, will miss the idiosyncrasies that made the Captain so interesting to serve under.

The XO stood there quietly for a moment and prayed for the soul of his former Captain, may he find some peace in the afterlife that he could not find while he was alive. After Chase finished his silent prayer for Capt Adonis, the XO returned to where he was stationed when the Captain was killed. Once back behind the Sec/Tac Station, Chase looked toward the other members of the Senior Staff on the Bridge to say something about the Captain.

The Vulcan Science Officer, Mr. Skonch, was next to walk to the center of the Bridge and address everyone watching either in person or through the live stream throughout SB34 and to all the ships receiving the transmission in the Gamma Quadrant. In his usual stoic manner, the Commander spoke to everybody about his experiences with Capt Adonis.

Cmdr Skonch: I met Captain Adonis when we departed on our first mission together to Sector Epsilon to transport personnel to Oriskany. I held him in high regard not just because he was my superior officer, but due to his Starfleet record as being such an upstanding officer in his treatment of others. In my experience, I have come across some officers who actually feel they are superior to their shipmates because of their ranks. Captain Adonis was never that way, he treated everyone as a friend regardless of their rank. The Captain made everyone feel valuable to him, no one was expendable in his eyes. That is a quality I highly regard. His presence will be missed by everyone who knew him, myself included. May his journey to immortality be free of incident.

Skonch returned to where he was standing among the other Senior Officers of Whitestar, Dr. Sonny Brewer and Counselor Kunti Ho. The Vulcan Science Officer gathered that they would have something to add as well since they knew the Captain for the same amount of time Mr. Skonch did. The Commander turned and looked at the both of them indicating it was their turn to speak about their ill fated Captain.

When hearing Adm Arayuss give the invitation to anyone else who may want to speak, Dr. Sonny Brewer wanted to add his own feelings about Capt Adonis. Sonny made his way to the center of the Bridge.

Before addressing the crowd, he thanked Adm Arayuss for giving him the opportunity to express his thoughts concerning the Captain.

Cmdr Brewer: During my time working in Sickbay, I saw that Captain Adonis was very friendly and caring for those suffering from injuries sustained while battling the Deltaurans as well as other sickness. I found that the Captain took interest in Sickbay and was greatly concerned about the healing and welfare of all the patients in there. With all the other serious duties of being the Commanding Officer of USS Whitestar, he always took time to address the needs of our Medical Unit in Sickbay. The Captain made sure we received the most up-to-date medical equipment and supplies we needed to care for all those suffering and in need of urgent care. He never failed to take time to see that we got everything we needed, along with other things he had to deal with as Captain of his ship. That was the kind of caring and unselfish person he was and how we will remember him. His remains will be in an urn to be kept in the Main Lounge here aboard Whitestar, the ship that he loved. I know everyone will pay respects to him whenever they pass through. Before leaving tonight, I know everybody will take time to express their condolence to Commodore Carpathia due to the loss of his life-long best friend and to give thanks to Admiral Arayuss and any others who made this memorial for Captain Adonis possible.

The Doctor walked over and patted Como Carpathia on his shoulder and whispered his condolences to the Division 1 Commander. Then shook hands with Adm Arayuss before returning to where he was standing near the rear of the Bridge. Sonny glanced at Counselor Ho and motioned his hand towards the middle of the Command Center so she could say what she needed to regarding her memories and experiences with Capt Adonis.

The Counselor smiled towards Dr. Brewer as she walked passed him to continue on her path to the center of the Bridge. Once there, she smiled again to the cameras that were providing the live stream to all the viewers watching. Kunti had fond memories of the Captain and began to share them.

Lt. Commander Ho: First, I'd like to express my condolences to Commodore Carpathia on the loss of his friend from childhood. The Captain always spoke highly of you and I know the decision to have his urn in our Main Lounge on Deck 5, he would appreciate greatly. I first met Captain Adonis here at Starbase 34 when I was transferred over to Whitestar as the ship's Counselor. He came across as quite jovial, but still had a sternness about him. Always easy to talk to, he made sure I knew I was welcomed and appreciated aboard his ship. It's really a tragic loss that the Captain is gone, but he will never be forgotten.

Kunti wiped a tear from her eye as she returned to where she was standing alongside Dr. Brewer. The Counselor wondered who was going to speak next about Capt Adonis. The rest of the Senior Officers were either aboard Event Horizon or Sutherland, where they were watching the live broadcast from. LtCmdr Ho looked around the Bridge wondering if any of the other officers from Infiniti or Oriskany were going to speak up as well.

David walked to the center of the Bridge as he smiled towards everyone before turning to face the cameras. He also knew Capt Adonis for a long time and had a lot of fun memories with him. The CO of Oriskany remembered when he first met E.J. and Treasar back in the city of Palmdale. David was just a child then, but it left a lasting impression on him which lead him to seek a career in Starfleet.

Capt Calzada: Hello everyone, I wanted to share how I came to know Captain Adonis, way before he became the CO of Whitestar. It was back in the city of Palmdale in California back on Earth. I was 10 years old back then when my brother, sister and I met him and E.J. They were visiting with the Commodore's brother and we were living in the same complex with my mother. It was obvious to my family they were very good friends. They took us to theme parks, to the beaches and we even went camping together. We had a lot of fun back then and I wanted to grow up to be just like them, Starfleet Officers. It's because of the two of them that I've become the Starfleet Captain I am now. I'm going to miss Treasar as I'm sure my brother and sister will too. Thank you.

The Captain of Oriskany walked passed Como Carpathia and patted him on the shoulder before bending down to give him a hug. After the embrace, David returned to where he was standing on Whitestar's damaged Bridge. He could see the blood stain on the deck where Capt Adonis had passed away and couldn't help but think about the times they all spent together when he was just a wide eyed 10 year old boy.

The XO of Infiniti felt he should say something so Aléjandro walked to the center of the Bridge where he faced the cameras. Cmdr Delgado met Capt Adonis only a few times at Como Carpathia's residence in California and always found him entertaining to be around. It really was sad that he died at such a young age, on his first mission as Captain of Whitestar.

Cmdr Delgado: Greetings to all. I just wanted to say a few words about Captain Adonis. I met him several years ago through Commodore Carpathia at a dinner party I was invited to. The Captain was quite entertaining in his odd habits, especially while eating. I enjoyed many of his topics of conversation and from the gathering of friends and colleagues here, I know he'll be sorely missed. I personally like the idea of his urn being in the Main Lounge here on Deck 5 of the ship. I think it would be a good idea for Captain Zh'Osha to hold a toast for the Captain before they launch back out into the Gamma Quadrant when the Senior Staff is fully accounted for. I'm really sorry about your friend, Commodore. I know he would just say "Don't worry about me, I'll just have a sammich tonight."

The Commander was happy to see a smile on Como Carpathia's face, knowing full well the Commodore was aware that was always how his friend said he would be just fine and to go on with whatever Como Carpathia had planned. Aléjandro walked back to where he was standing near Capt Calzada and waited for the next person to speak about Capt Adonis.

As Joey thought about the death of Captain Adonis, he remembered meeting him for the first time at Como Carpathia's residence here on SB34 for one of his dinner parties. Listening to the Captain's rants on how he thought the universe should work was very entertaining. The Lieutenant wasn't sure if he should approach the center of the Bridge and speak aloud to everyone since he didn't really know Capt Adonis well, but Joey knew he'd never get another chance and didn't want to regret it. So the Lieutenant made his way to the centrally lit area of the Bridge and spoke about how he met the Captain.

Lt. Florenté: Hi everybody, I'm Lieutenant Florenté from Infiniti. I first met Captain Adonis at one of Commodore Carpathia's dinner parties and found him to be very entertaining to listen to when he ranted on how the universe should be. His point of view was very unique and if it were so, the Captain wouldn't have died the way he did. I'm sure he would've preferred to die in his sleep while vacationing on Risa after pleasuring a beautiful woman. But that was always his dream and he spoke of it many times. I am going to miss him at our next dinner party, as I'm sure all of us in attendance will. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to speak here.

The Chief Flight Control Officer of Infiniti walked by Como Carpathia and gave him a warm embrace before returning to where he was, by Capt Calzada and Cmdr Delgado. Joey figured his brother Jamie was watching from Event Horizon and smiled as he thought about how the two of them enjoyed listening to Capt Adonis at Como Carpathia's residence.
