Tony smirked at the comment Como Carpathia made as he stood up and walked out, followed by MGen Alderez. He figured this was also a good time to mention to Adm Arayuss that Capt Marino was in need of an experienced Senior Staff for Sutherland's mission to Sector Epsilon.

RAdm Martinelli: Admiral, Captain Marino needs an experienced Senior Staff for Sutherland's mission to Sector Epsilon to safeguard the abandoned vessels out there till a fleet of tow-ships can be dispatched to bring them all back to Starbase 34. Since Oriskany and Whitestar are in need of repairs and Infiniti is due some down time, I'm thinking of asking for volunteers. What are your thoughts on this?

The Rear Admiral waited on Adm Arayuss to give his thoughts regarding Capt Marino's need for a Senior Staff for his first mission. With their experience they should be able to assist him in securing the area the abandoned vessels were in by a Class J planet. It would be beneficial to all concerned that those ships be returned and not left out there to be pillaged or taken by marauders and pirates.

Aeryck thought what E.J. said as he was leaving his office was quite comical. He nodded back at Rex as he was leaving and then heard what Tony had to say. It did seem important for Lou to have an experienced Senior Staff aboard Sutherland for their upcoming mission.

Adm Arayuss: Good idea, Tony. I'll make the announcement at the promotion ceremony and have potential candidates contact you for more information regarding their duties and the mission itself. Captain Marino will be there too so you can do the introductions as well.

The Admiral looked over at FAdm Skyner and smiled as he rose up from behind his desk and walked over to him and gave him a pat on the shoulder.

Adm Arayuss: Thank you for being so thorough with Event Horizon's mission. I can see the details a lot clearer now than when I first read through the proposal and I'm glad you agree with having Professor Brewer on board in case there are any dimensional problems. He's a very competent scientist.

The CinC remained standing by both FAdm Skyner and RAdm Martinelli, listening for anything else they had to say before they left to get ready for the ceremony tonight. He wasn't sure how long they had before the Banquet Hall would be ready, but he knew from past experience that it didn't take long. Aeryck wanted to make sure he had enough time to clean up and get ready.

Jaeson nodded in acknowledgement at what Adm Arayuss had said and spoke as he rose from the chair he was seated in the CinC's office. The Fleet Admiral had a few things he wanted to go over before he spoke with LtCmdr Little about Event Horizon's mission, plus he wanted to freshen up and put on his dress uniform for the promotion ceremony as well.

FAdm Skyner: I'm glad we're on the same page, Aeryck. I've read Professor Brewer's reports on the Deltaurans and how they were an inter-dimensional species. I know he'll be an asset to the mission, even if nothing happens and all goes well. At least the Professor will get a vacation out of it.

This made him chuckle somewhat, like he did when Como Carpathia said he'd be the sharpest dressed Commodore at tonight's ceremony. Jaeson shook hands with Adm Arayuss and RAdm Martinelli as he made his way out the door.

FAdm Skyner: I've got some things I want to go over before I get ready to head to the Banquet Hall. I'll see you both later tonight.

The Fleet Admiral exited Aeryck's office leaving him and Tony behind to discuss Capt Marino's Senior Staff situation aboard Sutherland. It was not a matter that needed his attention so he felt there was no reason to stay behind and discuss it with them. Jaeson knew they had that situation handled and he was sure there would be plenty of officers volunteering for Sutherland's first mission in the Gamma Quadrant.

Tony was pleased that Adm Arayuss was going to announce that Capt Marino was in need of an experienced Senior Staff aboard Sutherland at the promotion ceremony. He shook the Admiral's hand before leaving the CinC's office.

RAdm Martinelli: You'll have to make the announcement after Commander Little's crew has been drafted. Otherwise we could end up with officers thinking they're going on Sutherland when in fact they've already been assigned to Event Horizon.

The Rear Admiral smiled and made his way towards the door and exited seeing Ens Russ at her desk working diligently on the preparations for tonight's festivities. Tony smiled and waved at her as he walked by her desk, down the corridor and to the Turbolifts where he used one to go to his room in an different area of SB34 and began the process of cleaning himself up and getting dressed for the ceremony.

As Tony was leaving, Aeryck nodded in agreement to his friend. He didn't want officers volunteering for duty aboard Sutherland when they've already been assigned to the Event Horizon.

Adm Arayuss: I'll have to agree with you there, Tony. I'll make sure the proposed crew for Commander Little is notified before I make the announcement of volunteers needed for the Senior Staff for Captain Marino aboard Sutherland. I'll see you later tonight.

The Admiral watched as RAdm Martinelli left his office and in a few moments, he did the very same. Aeryck walked passed Andrea, who was still working at her desk on the preparations and the invites.

Adm Arayuss: I'm off to get ready, Andrea. Please let me know when you've completed, and get ready yourself. It will be a big night for lots of people and I'd like you there as well.

With that, the CinC walked down the corridor and entered a Turbolift, taking it to the deck where his Quarters were located. Upon entering, he thought it best to clean himself up before going through the process of getting into his dress uniform. Aeryck most certainly didn't want to put his dress whites on if he didn't wash himself first.

When Adm Arayuss walked out of his office and spoke to Andrea, she was nearly completed with all the planning for tonight's promotion ceremony. She just had to send out the invites to everyone and their families. She did have a question for the Admiral though, but he already left so she used the Companel on her desk to make her inquiry.

Ens Russ: Admiral? We've got many cases of champagne aboard. Do you have a preference for tonight's festivities?

While waiting on the CinC to reply, she continued sending out the messages via the internal messaging system to everyone's PADD or desk terminal. It was only a matter of moments before the Admiral replied.

Adm Arayuss: Andrea, have them serve Chȃteau Picard 2387. We're celebrating our heroes of the Battle of Sector Epsilon so nothing but the best for them.

Andrea smiled as she replied.

Ens Russ: Aye, Sir! I couldn't agree more.

The Ensign made a note on her PADD and sent the information to the Banquet Hall so they knew to go to SB34's special cargo area for fine champagne and wines. This was the real deal, nothing replicated here. When she finished with the invites, she closed out her terminal and took her PADD along to her Quarters using a Turbolift. There she could wash up and get ready for the ceremony.

As the Admiral sat in his office working on his correspondences within the fleet, he noticed he had received complaints regarding Capt Zh’Osha not being available for her crew. Whitestar was almost completely repaired and she had been held up in her Quarters here on SB34 almost the entire time. This did not sit well for the CinC and he decided that she was just not the right person to fill the position as CO of the Akira Class vessel. Using his ability to sense what was going on with the Captain in question, Aeryck was not surprised to find her passed out upon the floor of her Quarters from excessive drinking of alcoholic beverages. This really pissed off the Admiral and he made an executive decision to remove her from the position of commanding Whitestar and used his terminal to contact Starfleet Command and request a replacement for the Aenarian Captain. As CinC, he preferred a person who would find the position an honor and not be such an insufferable drunk. Once the communiqué was completed, Aeryck let Lt. JG Russ know what he did and to expect a new Captain to arrive in the very near future. Tapping his Combadge, he alerted Andrea of his intentions.

Adm Arayuss: Andrea, I have requested a new Commanding Officer for Whitestar. Captain Zh’Osha has been drunk ever since she has been aboard the base. I will not stand for such a lack of self-control in an officer. When she wakes, make sure she cannot obtain anymore alcohol and once she is completely sober, get her on the next transport back to Deep Space Nine. I do not want her on this Starbase anymore if all she is going to do is either be intoxicated or hung-over, if she wants to behave that way in the Andorian Imperial Guard, that is her choice. But it is not the way I run this fleet, so I would like her gone as soon as possible. Make it so, Lieutenant!

The Commander in Chief also needed to let Cmdr Ashborn know that he would be getting a new Commanding Officer, that his complaints regarding Capt Zh’Osha being non-contactable during her constant alcoholic blackouts have been acknowledged. Using the terminal on his desk, Aeryck sent a message to the XO of Whitestar so he had the knowledge of a replacement CO being requested from Starfleet Command. The Admiral knew Cmdr Ashborn would be pleased to have a new Captain to lead them since Capt Zh’Osha seemed to be nothing more than a waste of resources. Aeryck had no idea who Starfleet was going to send to replace Pi’Lar, if it was going to be another officer from the Andorian Imperial Guard or someone else that received their training from an allied government. But whoever it was, the CinC would make sure they were not the type of person who would partake in heavy drinking. The Admiral had little tolerance for blatant alcoholics…

Andrea heard the Admiral and quickly made the arrangements that he asked of her. The Lieutenant JG completely understood why the CinC went with the decision he made regarding Capt Zh'Osha. Having to deal with a chronically intoxicated Captain would cause a severe breakdown of morale amongst the crew of Whitestar.

Lt. JG Russ: As you wish, Admiral!

The Administrative Assistant continued working on all the different facets of her tasks laid out by Adm Arayuss. Andrea wondered who the new Captain of Whitestar was going to be. Capt Zh'Osha had a superior attitude and that really bothered the Lieutenant JG, to the point where she knew they were never going to get along well.

Hearing Lt. JG Russ’ affirmative response was always an encouragement to the Admiral. Aeryck knew things were in good hands with Andrea. The Lieutenant JG had never disappointed him before and that was what the CinC really liked about her. The Admiral finished up his message to Cmdr Ashborn but before he sent it, Aeryck got his reply back from Starfleet Command regarding a replacement for Capt Zh’Osha. Reading the file on Capt Daqtorgh didn’t take the CinC very long at all. The Captain was a Klingon exchange officer and was looking for the opportunity to serve as the Commanding Officer aboard a Starfleet vessel.

Capt Daqtorgh was the son of Qoy’lut, the Dahar Master from the House of tlhoqlw’! Surely this Captain would take his role seriously and not be a blatant drunk while Whitestar’s repairs were completed. Aeryck was very proud to have the son of a Dahar Master commanding one of the vessels in Gamma Fleet. The message from Starfleet said Capt Daqtorgh was currently at Deep Space Nine, boarding a Runabout for SB34 and would be here in a matter of hours. Aeryck finalized his message to Cmdr Ashborn and requested he send up their new Yeoman to the CinC’s office so the Captain could be escorted to his new command. Once again the Admiral tapped the Companel on his desk to call Lt. JG Russ and alert her to the new Captain arriving in a few hours and to expect Whitestar’s Yeoman to be arriving shortly so he could meet Capt Daqtorgh and escort him to his vessel.

Adm Arayuss: Andrea, Starfleet already has a replacement for Captain Zh’Osha en route to Starbase 34 from Deep Space Nine. Commander Ashborn will be sending their Yeoman up to my office to greet Captain Daqtorgh, so expect the both of them to be arriving soon. Our new Captain is a Klingon from the exchange program and is the son of a Dahar Master, so I don’t think we’ll be finding him passed out in a corridor with the word DRUNK written on his forehead. Perhaps you should have Captain Zh’Osha’s possessions collected for her and packed up so she could take that Runabout Captain Daqtorgh is using right back to Deep Space Nine so they can deal with her hangover.

The Admiral knew Lt. JG Russ was more than capable of taking care of the task he just charged her with. It wouldn’t take Andrea very long either, Aeryck could sense that his Administrative Assistant was not a fan of Capt Zh’Osha and she would love nothing more than to get her off this Starbase. While waiting for both the Captain and Whitestar’s Yeoman to arrive the Admiral could sense that Capt Zh’Osha was still blacked out on the floor in the middle of her Quarters. What an overwhelming disappointment Pi’Lar turned out to be. But Aeryck just figured it was better to discover her need to become intoxicated while still on SB34 than have her XO make the discovery while she was out on a mission.

The Lieutenant JG was excited to meet the new Captain of Whitestar when he arrived. Surely the son of a Dahar Master would be interesting and honorable, in comparison to the rude and obnoxiousness of Capt Zh’Osha. While Andrea waited for Capt Daqtorgh to enter the reception area, she looked up Whitestar’s new Yeoman assigned to the ship. His name was Luis A. Garcia and was currently a newly graduated Ensign from Starfleet Academy back in San Francisco. The young Ensign was from Cancún, México and was the son of the Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula’s operations manager. It was one of the 5-star hotels in the community of resorts in one of the most beautiful locations in all México. The Yeoman sounded interesting to meet as well. Lt. JG Russ just wondered which one of them would show up first.

Since Ens Garcia was already aboard SB34, he was the first to arrive in the reception area. Andrea could see him coming down the corridor looking for directions to the CinC’s office. The cute young Yeoman looked lost, so the Lieutenant JG called out to him to get his attention.

Lt. JG Russ: Ensign Garcia! Down here!

Startling the young Ensign caused Andrea to giggle slightly before he made his way down the corridor to the Administrative Assistant’s desk. The young lad looked nervous to be called to the Admiral’s office, kind of like a child being called to meet with the Superintendent of a school district. Smiling at Whitestar’s Yeoman, Andrea waited for him to introduce himself. The Lieutenant JG remembered how nervous she was when she met Adm Arayuss for the first time. It was obvious to her that Ens Garcia was feeling the same way.
