The CO was impressed with the Yeoman's alertness and expeditious handling of his order to report to the Bridge.
Como Carpathia:
Yeoman, please escort Professor Brewer to his quarters and remain with him till we find out the status of the Kankakee. If the situation becomes hostile, I prefer to have him in a safe place.
He nodded to the Ensign, and to the Professor as well.
Como Carpathia:
Professor, it's been great having you on the Bridge, but it would be safer for you to remain in your quarters at this time. Yeoman Panettiere will remain with you and see to your needs till we can discover what has happened to the vessel of your colleagues.
The CO smiled at them in an assuring way so that they would know that things will be fine. _________________

After hearing what the Commodore had to say, Professor Brewer rose from his seat and prepared to return to his quarters.
Prof Brewer:
Thank you Commodore for allowing me to visit on the Bridge. It was very interesting. I agree with you that I will be more comfortable being out of the way and I need time to bring my log up to date on all the day's happenings. I will be waiting on information regarding future events as it unfolds.
He shook hands with the Commodore and began walking with Ensign Panettiere to his quarters. _________________

Hearing the Red Alert klaxon blare though his office he knew something serious must be at hand. He tapped combadge.
Maj Bath'Ney:

He stood from his chair and placed his phaser on his belt and exited his office and headed for the briefing area.

Lt. JG Elbrun had finished the last report from the pile of PADDs that she had when she heard the Red Alert. Kestra assumed that she might be needed on the Bridge, so she got up and walked out of her office and proceeded down the corridor and into the Turbo Lift.
Lt. JG Elbrun:
Bridge.
Kestra had begun to think about what they had found as the Turbo Lift ascended to the Bridge. When it stopped and the doors opened with it's familiar hiss, Kestra walked out and onto the bridge. She looked over at Commodore Carpathia.
Lt. JG Elbrun:
Pardon me, Sir. I thought I might show up on the Bridge to see if I am needed.
Kestra waited on a response from the Commodore. _________________

Commodore Carpathia looked over at Lt. JG Elbrun and smiled, he was glad that she had the insight to come to the Bridge.
Como Carpathia:
That was very good thinking, Kestra. Could you please take the Science Station since Lt. Joffee is down in Engineering working on the proble.
E.J. watched as she walked over to the Science Station and familiarized herself with the console. _________________

MR Bath'Ney Guest
Marine Barracks Briefing Area - Deck 7
Bath'Ney entered the briefing area and paced back and forth in front of the Marines.
Maj Bath'Ney:
It seems we have an unknown reason for our ship's current status. We will assume our Red Alert stations thought out the ship.
He looked towards LCorporal Hudson.
Maj Bath'Ney:
You and I will take the Bridge.
He tapped his combadge.
Maj Bath'Ney:
Commander Calzada my Marines are ready to deploy to there Red Alert stations. I will be heading to the Bridge with Lance Corporal Hudson. Bath'Ney out.
He addressed the Marines that were anxious and ready to go.
Maj Bath'Ney:
Report in from your stations. Dismissed!
Bath'Ney, along with Hudson proceeded to the Bridge and when they arrived they took their positions guarding both entries to the area.

Kestra walked over to the Science console and tapped on it and begun to familiarize herself with the Science Station. She began to run neccessary scans of the Kankakee's vacinity as they approached. Specifically for any other vessels or interdimensional disturbances. _________________

The red glow of the klaxons accompanied by the loud blaring sound quickly lit up Engineering. Connecting the last few ports, he began doing an inspection.
Lt. Waters:
What do you guys say we put a zip in our step, aye?
He squinted a bit; the klaxon was giving him a headache.
Lt. Waters:
Computer! Discontinue audio warning.
Infiniti-Com:
Discontinued.
He looked around to the others, and hoped everything was going alright up there. _________________

Mike looked over at Zach and smiled.
Lt. Joffee:
I'm workin' as fast as I can, Capt'n!
He laughed a little and returned to his sensor equipment, completing the installation as carefully and quickly as he could. _________________

The XO took his seat beside the CO and used the center console to monitor the sensor readings that were coming from the area the Kankakee was discovered. He didn't want Infiniti falling into a trap.
Cmdr Calzada:
We don't know what we're heading into, Commodore. Do you think it would be prudent to deploy the armor now?
He waited in silence for the CO's response. _________________
