Sickbay

The Doctor materialized in the center of Sickbay with LtCmdr Mitchell on the BioBed she was closest to. She quickly turned to her assistant and gave instructions.

Lt. Jovic: Mr. Jurock, scan him for any bioneural toxins immediately and get blood samples to the MedLab right away! I want to know what put him in this catatonic state as soon as possible. The Captain will want to be briefed as soon I as know.

Dragana grabbed a PADD from the tray near the BioBed and began making a medical report on LtCmdr Mitchell's current condition. She occasionally glanced up to watch Ensign Jurock following out her orders.

Transporter Room

Sean materialized in the Transporter Room. He looked over at Paul before giving his first order.

Cmdr Reich: Paul, go to the Bridge and let the Captain know that I will be there shortly. I'm going to stop by Sickbay and see what's going on before I come up.

The Commander walked off the Transporter Pad and started on his way to Sickbay.

Sickay

As Dragana observed LtCmdr Mitchell's condition and made notes on the PADD, she noticed something very unusual about his body's temperature and blood pressure. It was rapidly elevating.

Lt. Jovic: This doesn't make any sense, his blood pressure and temperature is rising rapidly.

The Doctor could not find a reason for either of them to be rising. She grabbed the hematology report as soon as her assistant brought it and looked over it carefully.

Lt. Jovic: His electrolytes are almost non-existant! I've never seen or even heard of anything like this before. Have you?

Ens Jurock: No Doctor, I haven't.

Dragana went to her office and began searching the ship's medical database for anything resembling these kind of symptoms. While she continued searching Ensign Jurock yelled for her attention.

Ens Jurock: Doctor, come see this!

Dr. Jovic rushed out of her office to see that Mitchell's body was swelling rapidly as if he was filling with air.

Lt. Jovic: What the Hell?

The Doctor couldn't believe what was happening to LtCmdr Mitchell's body. It became grotesquely immense in size, as if is was filling with fluid. The uniform tore away from the swelling mass of flesh the body became, as Ensign Jurock tried to obtain a tissue sample for the lab.

Lt. Jovic: H'val! Get away from there!

Before Dragana's eyes, Mitchell's body burst open and a pale arachnid-like creature protruded from the large opening. It's skull shaped head with large dark eye sockets appeared to examine the area before looking at Ensign Jurock standing beside the next BioBed. The long neck below the head arched downward bring the face to the level of the Ensign's and the dark sockets flashed a bright strobe of light into Jurock's face. Dr. Jovic's assistant fell motionless to the deck as Dragana gasped from astonishment. Quickly she tapped her ComBadge to alert the rest of Oriskany.

Lt. Jovic: Sickbay to Bridge, intruder alert! We have a creature in here that just burst out of Mitchell's body!

Dragana moved back into her office and watched the odd creature move about Sickbay. She was baiting her time before she could rescue Ensign Jurock from between the BioBeds.

Bridge

James immediate put Oriskany on Red Alert and announced to the crew there was an intruder in Sickbay. He also called the Captain back to the Bridge.

Lt. Kee: We have an Intruder Alert in Sickbay! Captain to the Bridge!

The Science Officer went to his console and began scanning for the intruder with the confines of Sickbay and was only able to locate Dr. Jovic and Ensign Jurock. James continued scanning for any signs of the Intruder in hopes of locating it.

Ready Room

The Captain heard the alarm of Oriskany going to Red Alert and jumped to her feet. She also heard Lt. Kee's voice over the intraship communications announced the Intruder Alert and her immediate presense on the Bridge being requested. Quickly Capt Harris exited her Ready Room and entered the Bridge and looked towards the Science Station where Lt. Kee was occupied.

Capt Harris: Status report, Mr. Kee!

As the Capatain waited on Kee's report, she walked over to her chair and sat down. She then tapped the companel on the arm of her seat quickly.

Capt Harris: Bridge to Commander Reich! Find out what's happening in Sickbay and get back to me immediately! Harris out!

Katy waited to hear from both Lt. Kee and Cmdr Reich as she sat in the Command Chair on the Bridge. It was clear to her that they were all rapidly headed for a situation that was not going to be pleasant.

Bridge

James straightened up and looked towards the Captain as he gave the status report she asked for.

Lt. Kee: Dr. Jovic notified the Bridge that an intruder burst out of the body of Mr. Mitchell. I placed the ship on Intruder Alert and notified you immediately afterwards. I then began scanning for the intruder using our internal sensors and haven't detected anything else in Sickbay, other than Dr. Jovic and Ensign Jurock. I am running different forms of analysis variables in hopes of scanning the creature.

The Lieutenant remained upright as he awaited further instructions from the Captain. If need be, he would go to Sickbay with a Tricorder and scan the creature himself so that it's bio signs could be placed in their database.

Corridor near Sickbay

Sean went into a dead run from the Turbolift to Sickbay. He was going to check in with the Doctor on his way to the Bridge so that he could report everything to the Captain, but since this Red Alert, and sensing the urgency in what the Captain said, he figured that he should get there on the double. He hit his Combadge on the way.

Cmdr Reich: Captain, I'm on my way to Sickbay on the double. I was going to check in with the Doc anyway before coming to brief you.

The XO was still in sprint when he spoke to the Captain. He then continued to contact the Doctor.

Cmdr Reich Doc, I'm on my way. What's your status?

While the Commander waited for some kind of response, he continued his sprint through the corridor.

Sickbay

The Doctor heard Cmdr Reich and tapped her Combadge to respond immediately. She needed to warn Sean of the danger walking around in Sickbay.

Lt. Jovic: Commander! There's a creature that burst out of Mitchell's body! It's walking around in here and it hasn't noticed me yet because I'm in my office under my desk! Ensign Jurock was knocked out by the thing and he's laying between the BioBeds. Try getting him out of here if you can!

Dragana waited on Sean's arrival with great anticipation. She hoped he brought a weapon with him to disable that creature so it could be studied. The Doctor also wanted to make sure H'val wasn't seriously injured by whatever stunning mechanism the creatured used on him.

Office of the Marine Detachment Commander

1st Lieutenant Elbrun was in his office when he heard the Intruder Alert. He quickly stopped doing his reports and exited out of his office, into the Marine Armory.

1Lt. Elbrun: Intruder alert, Ladies! Grab your gear! Sergeant Bustamant? and Private Diego, you are with me, . PFC Hagan and Private Saucedo, you are with 2nd Lieutenant Mereel. Lieutenant Mereel, take your team to Engineering and secure it. Grab another team and send them to secure the Bridge. I'll take my team to secure Sickbay.

Marines: Yes, Sir!

Andrus quickly grabbed his Mark VI Phaser Rifle as the men lined up with their teams as ordered. Each armed and ready for their orders. Everyone hauled ass out of the armory and towards their locations. He tapped on his Combadge.

1Lt. Elbrun: Elburn to Bridge. I'm sending teams to secure Engineering and another one to the Bridge. I'm heading to Sickbay with my team.

Andrus, with his team, quickly ran down the corridor towards a waiting Turbolift and quickly ran inside. With his team behind him, the doors closed after they entered.

1Lt. Elbrun: Sickbay!

The Turbolift quickly ascended towards the deck Sickbay was on. Just after the doors swooshed open, Andrus and his team quickly ran down the corridor. Andrus and his men entered, with their Phasers Rifles drawn and saw a creature that some how came out of Mitchell's bloated body.

1Lt. Elbrun: Target the creature, fire on Heavy Stun!

Each of them aimed at the creature as they slowly entered Sickbay and began to fire at quick intervals. To Andrus' surprise the Phaser Rifles had no affect on the Intruder whatsoever, other than seeming to piss it off.

Sickbay

Dr. Jovic was pleased to see the arrival of the Marines, but wondered where Cmdr Reich was. She watched as they took aim with their Phaser Rifles and began firing at the creature. Other than it getting pissed off, the Phaser fire had no damaging effect upon it. Dragana heard 1Lt. Elbrun give the order to fire on the Heavy Stun setting. Since that wasn't working, she offered her own advice.

Lt. Jovic: Set your rifles to their maximum setting! All you're doing is pissing it off!

Dragana continued watching the Marines fire at the Intruder from the positions they took around Sickbay. She looked over at Ensign Jurock and saw that he was still stunned from whatever the creature did to him. The Doctor wanted to get him to a safer location so that she could administer medical attention.
