Bow Shuttlebay - Deck 12

Rex moved forward slowly, with the Phaser Rifle in his hands and looked down both directions of the corridor and saw no sign of any Deltaurans. He motioned for the Marines to follow.

MGen Alderez: Let's go clean this ship out.

Together they followed Rex down the corridor with their weapons at the ready. Making sure no Deltauran would get the drop on them, the Marines at the rear kept an eye behind them.

Corridor - Deck 12

Chris followed MGen Alderez down the corridor keeping his weapon ready. He knew what happened to people who fell victim to a Deltauran attack and wasn't eager to become one of them. When they boarded Oriskany, the General called over to Infiniti and had them scan for Deltaurans in their vicinity. The Lieutenant thought it would be a good idea to get Whitestar scanned too.

1Lt. Lopez: General? You should check in with Infiniti and have this ship scanned. That way we'll have an idea where the Deltaurans are.

He hoped MGen Alderez would take his advice, that way they could go on the offensive, hunt down the creatures and terminate them. The quicker they cleaned Whitestar out, the sooner it's crew could return and make any necessary repairs.

Rex looked towards 1Lt. Lopez and nodded in agreement. The 1st Lieutenant?s suggestion was not only truly sound, but a wise move he should?ve done as soon as they exited the ISSCV.

MGen Alderez: Good thinking, Lieutenant. Thanks for the suggestion.

The General tapped his Combadge.

MGen Alderez: Alderez to Infiniti. We've landed on Whitestar's Flight Deck, Marines deployed and area is secure. We?re in the corridor leading into Deck 12. This would be a great time for us to hear the locations of our targets. Standby for updates as we progress throughout the ship.

The General continued down the corridor with the Marines as he waited to hear back from Infiniti. Rex hoped it wouldn?t take too long since he wasn?t looking to be surprised by an assault from the creatures they were here to destroy.

The Lieutenant smiled at MGen Alderez as he replied to being thanked for his suggestion.

1Lt. Lopez: You're welcome, Sir.

Following behind the General, Chris kept his weapon ready making sure he swept the area with his eyes.

The General continued down the corridor of Deck 12 with his rifle ready. He hoped it wouldn?t be long before he got a response back from Infiniti so they would know where the Intruders were located here aboard Whitestar. A few moments later his Combadge chirped and was followed by the sound of Ens DeGrazzio?s voice.

Ens DeGrazzio: General, they appear to be fleeing from your vicinity and heading for the Engineering area. According to the sensors, they're in the process of opening one of the doorways to their realm right there in Whitestar's Engineering! Just like what they did aboard Oriskany when you attacked the Deltaurans over there! They must know you?re there to destroy them!

Rex was furious at the news given to him by the Ensign aboard Infiniti. How dare these creatures retreat!

MGen Alderez: Thank you, Ensign. We?ll see how many we can get before they?re gone.

The General turned towards the Marines in the corridor behind him.

MGen Alderez: Let?s move, Marines! They?re running from us through another one of those doorways in Whitestar?s Main Engineering!

Rex picked up the pace and began running down the corridor towards the ship?s Engineering area. After all the lives the Deltaurans took, there was no way he was going to allow them to leave Whitestar unscathed. MGen Alderez wanted to make sure the Deltaurans thought twice before coming into this dimension again.

The Sergeant ran down the corridor along with MGen Alderez, 1Lt. Lopez, and 2Lt. Parra. Behind GSgt Arbor was the rest of the squad that came over in the ISSCV with the General. Cody too, wanted to strike at the escaping Deltaurans before they made their way off Whitestar.

GSgt Arbor: C?mon Marines, get the lead outta your asses and get a move on! We?ve got Intruders to kill before they make their way off the ship!

Together with the squad, the Sarge ran along with the officers that lead the way to Whitestar?s Main Engineering on Deck 15. Since each Intruder came from the body of a member of Whitestar?s crew, it was safe to assume they wouldn?t want to have died in vain as the creature that killed them was allowed to return to it?s domain.

Main Engineering - Deck 15

Rex lead the Marines to Whitestar's Main Engineering on Deck 15 and much to his disappointment, the Deltaurans were gone. They must have escaped through the doorway they created to their dimension. The General was quite annoyed as he tapped his Combadge to inform Infiniti of the situation.

MGen Alderez: Alderez to Infiniti, they're gone! The damn Deltaurans completely escaped into their own realm and evaded our attack! Scan the vessel and make sure there aren't any stragglers. We'll be standing by here in Main Engineering for further instructions.

Looking very agitated, MGen Alderez paced around the Engineering area waiting on a reply from Infiniti. It was obvious to Rex that the Marines were looking forward to destroying more Deltaurans and finding the area empty was an overwhelming disappointment to them all.

The Sarge kept his weapon ready as he looked around the Engineering area. There was no sign of the Deltaurans anywhere in the vacinity. Cody wasn't the only Marine disappointed there weren't any Intruders here to kill, the whole squad voiced their dismay.

LCpl Hudson: Aww man, this sucks!

Pvt1 Vasquez: You got that right!

Arbor turned towards the vocal Marines.

GSgt Arbor: All right, we're all disappointed...but quiet down and keep your eyes open!

Cody did the same and kept his eyes focused on the area around him, making sure there wasn't any threat towards the squad. He wondered if the entire vessel was cleared out and they were the only ones aboard it cause it sure looked that way.

The General paced around within Main Engineering and was quite upset there was no Deltaurans to eliminate. It didn't take long before he got his reply back from Infiniti.

Ens DeGrazzio: General Alderez, sensors indicate the Deltaurans are no longer aboard Whitestar. You and the squad of Marines are the only signs of life on that vessel.

Rex rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand and shook his head in disbelief.

MGen Alderez: Understood. What does Admiral Arayuss suggest we do now?

As he waited on the response, his pacing continued. Rex was very disappointed and he knew all the Marines with him were too. He hoped Adm Arayuss had some sort of plan to continue with the extermination of the Deltaurans.

Chris walked around Main Engineering and looked for anything out of the ordinary. Behind the Warp Core he noticed several Flesh Pods, the remains of Whitestar's crew that failed to make it off when they abandoned ship. It saddened the Marine Officer that they lost their lives from the Deltauran attack.

1Lt. Lopez: General, there's some remains of the crew here behind the Warp Core. Several of them.

He stood there looking down at the Flesh Pods and thought about how horrible it was to die that way. To have their flesh stretched out by the Deltauran inside them and then to rip open as the creature emerged looking for another victim to subdue.
