The Fleet Admiral entered the Observation Lounge and sought out Cmdr Cypher. Upon finding the Commander amongst the crew of Whitestar, FAdm Skyner approached and shook Cmdr Cypher's hand to welcome him back to SB34 and congratulate him on getting Event Horizon's crew back home.
FAdm Skyner:
Welcome home, Commander and congratulations on getting everyone home. When I heard about what Jo'Kla did, I feared the worst. If we can step aside for a while, I'd like to get your input on all that happened and how well the ship performed. I won't need to debrief anyone else, I trust your judgement on this. It's a shame Lewis lost his marbles on this mission and checked out. It would appear Command doesn't fit everyone and causes them irreparable brain damage. Captain Reich died from the complete loss of brain activity and now Commander Little has Dissociative Identity Disorder and will be spending time in a mental facility. This makes me very wary of new Commanding Officers, especially those who haven't been in command of a Starship before and completed a mission. Captain Reich was promoted after Captain Harris was killed and the stress of the Deltauran situation turned his brain off. As for Commander Little, the stress of being lost in another universe brought up past traumas and locked him out of reality. I know I can trust Captain Calzada, he's been Executive Officer of Infiniti for three major missions out here so I know he'll be able to handle Oriskany. But I'm not sure about Captain Daqtorgh. The only Klingon Commanding Officer we have is Captain Worf and he went through all the training of a Starfleet Officer. This exchange program already failed us with Captain Zh'Osha, I don't want it to fail us again. If it does, I will be canceling the program and only accepting Captains to command ships from our own eligible officers serving in Starfleet. Having Pi'Lar being a drunk did not help the cause, so hopefully Daqtorgh will redeem the program. We'll will just have to wait and see.
The CinC of Starfleet Command led the XO of Event Horizon over to a small table along the side of the lounge where they could discuss things privately. Jaeson was looking forward to hearing how the Nova Class Refit vessel handled the transfer from one universe to another. FAdm Skyner also wanted to know how the crew handled everything, with the exception of Cmdr Little's escaping reality so he could go through life as anyone but himself. The Fleet Admiral was also going to find out how Jo'Kla was able to become a member of the crew of Event Horizon. It needed to be discovered so it could be prevented from happening again. _________________

Thom was honored to be welcomed home by the CinC of Starfleet Command! Sitting at the table with FAdm Skyner made Cmdr Cypher feel so important too. The Commander listened intently to everything the Fleet Admiral told him about previous Captains having mental breaks and couldn't agree with FAdm Skyner more! Gamma Fleet was a tightly nit presence in the Gamma Quadrant and having Commanding Officers relinquish their duties over being mentally incompetent or being too drunk was making them all look bad. Thom knew nothing about Capt Daqtorgh prior to him showing up to take command of Whitestar, so that worried the Chief Engineer. Cmdr Cypher knew the Captain was part of an exchange program with the Klingon Defense Force, but that was all.
Cmdr Cypher:
I can tell you, Fleet Admiral, that Event Horizon performed admirably. Up until Jo'Kla sabotaged the Transdimensional Displacement Device, everything aboard the ship was running wonderfully. Petty Officer Florenté told us on numerous occasions the Coaxial Warp Core was purring like a kitten while we were moving at maximum velocity. Lieutenant Commander Centares was our pilot and he constantly remarked on how Event Horizon was the fastest ship he had ever piloted. Everyone aboard was proud to serve aboard the ship and the mission until it all went south with Jo'Kla sabotaging us. He killed the Professor and he tried to murder Lieutenant Junior Grade DeGrazzio as well, before killing himself. The ship itself did not fail us, Sir. Event Horizon was an amazing vessel who went way before it's time. Because the Emerald Chain ships were rapidly approaching, I had to set the auto-destruct to prevent the ship from falling into their hands. We were all prepared to go down with our vessel, but due to the ingenuity of Jayden DeGrazzio, he got a message through using the TDD as a beacon and Admiral Arayuss sent Explorer to our rescue. I'm not quite sure I understand what happened with Commander Little, he was always a little on the slow side to get a response or an action from. But when we were with Inquisitor Tollus Dak'Aar down on Trivadia Core in the Trivas System, his brain just switched into a standby mode where he had a blank look on his face and he just blinked while staring off into oblivion. I'm hoping he gets the help he needs. Commander Little was a good Engineer, but as a Commanding Officer, he left a lot to be desired.
The Chief Engineer of Whitestar hoped he answered all of FAdm Skyner's questions regarding the short-lived mission of Event Horizon. The ship best known for getting lost on it's maiden voyage was RMS Titanic back on Earth on April 14, 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean. It was unfortunate that Event Horizon's name was going to be added to that short list. But unlike Titanic, the crew of Event Horizon survived, minus Prof Brewer, thanks to Lt. JG DeGrazzio and Adm Arayuss for sending Explorer to save everyone. Otherwise, the ship would've been lost with all hands and nobody would've known what happened to them. _________________

Jaeson nodded in affirmation at everything Cmdr Cypher had told him. Clearly selecting Cmdr Little as the Commanding Officer of Event Horizon had been a mistake. What wasn't a mistake was selecting Cmdr Cypher as the Executive Officer. Thom performed admirably and if Gamma Fleet was in need of a new Captain, FAdm Skyner would recommend Cmdr Thomas R. Cypher.
FAdm Skyner:
You've done an admirable job, Commander Cypher. Thank you for your time and your concise report. I will be leaving for Starfleet Command shortly, so I need to speak with Admiral Arayuss before I leave. Enjoy the celebration, Commander. Again, thank you for getting the crew home. Not allowing Event Horizon to get into the hands of the Emerald Chain was the appropriate action, I assure you. I'll be taking our guest Mr. Dak'Aar back with me, that way we can have a nice long chat along the way.
The Fleet Admiral stood up from the table and shook Cmdr Cypher's hand once again and made his way through the crowd of Gamma Fleet personnel and their friends and families to where Mr. Tollus Dak'Aar was standing. After a short introduction and exchange of pleasantries, FAdm Skyner invited the former Inquisitor back with him to Earth. Jaeson could see in Mr. Dak'Aar's face that he was very excited to be able to go there with him. They would be departing shortly, FAdm Skyner just needed to have a few words with Adm Arayuss before they departed SB34. _________________

The Fleet Admiral was pleased with Mr. Dak'Aar's enthusiasm with returning to Earth with him. The thought of making time to bring Tollus to the theme parks of Orlando, Florida brought a smile to his face. Jaeson would definitely do what he could to bring the former Inquisitor to Florida so he could enjoy the parks.
FAdm Skyner:
I will definitely do what I can to facilitate your wishes to visit the parks in Orlando, Mr. Dak'Aar. If you'll follow me, I need to check in with Admiral Arayuss before we catch a Runabout in Bay 327. I just confirmed it on my PADD, so we're set to be underway shortly.
Jaeson walked over towards the sofa where Adm Arayuss was seated with Dr. Brewer and surrounded by crews of Infiniti, Oriskany and Whitestar. They were all expressing their condolences to the Doctor as the Fleet Admiral approached with Mr. Dak'Aar.
FAdm Skyner:
Admiral Arayuss, may I have a word with you? I'm planning on leaving shortly for Earth by Runabout and wanted to take my leave from you. I'll be taking the former Ba'Dassian Inquisitor from Universe C-57D, Tollus Dak'Aar with me. He really wants to visit Orlando so he could see the sights and enjoy the theme parks there. So I thought I would oblige him.
The Commander in Chief of Starfleet Command waited to hear from Adm Arayuss for a fond farewell and any special requests the Admiral may have for him. While Jaeson waited on Aeryck, he used his PADD to make the announcement to all personnel that he would be departing SB34 via a Runabout in Bay 327. That way if anybody had anything in need of transportation to Earth, they knew of a vessel heading that way very shortly. _________________

The Admiral stood up as FAdm Skyner approached and spoke with him, telling Aeryck his plans to take Tollus Dak'Aar back to Earth with him and show him around the theme parks of Orlando, Florida. This pleased Adm Arayuss and thought it was a very kind gesture on Starfleet's part to allow the Ba'Dassian Inquisitor to return to Earth with him aboard a Runabout. This would also be the time to suggest to the Fleet Admiral that he take Dr. Brewer and the body of his brother, Prof Brewer back with them. Also, it would be a good idea to bring Cmdr Little back to Earth to get the mental attention he needed.
Adm Arayuss:
That sounds good to me, Fleet Admiral. Since you are heading that way, would you mind transporting Dr. Brewer and the Professor back with you, along with Commander Little since he has permanently checked out of reality, he needs to get to Starfleet Medical's Mental Ward as soon as possible. Also, I would like you to look over this PADD with a request for a promotion for someone I feel really deserves it.
The Commander in Chief of Gamma Fleet handed the Fleet Admiral the PADD for which described all the notable achievements they made during their time in the Gamma Quadrant. Aeryck would promote this person himself, but it was not within his scope of duties to do so. The Admiral hoped FAdm Skyner would sign off on the promotion so that he could do it before his departure for Earth. That way Adm Arayuss could see to the promotion immediately, while everyone was still here in the Observation Lounge celebrating the return of Event Horizon's crew. _________________
