E.J. looked over his left shoulder towards the Ops/Communications Station to thank LtCmdr Trylon for his consideration by sending the message from Capt Daqtorgh to his PADD. This way the Commodore could send a message back to the Captain of Whitestar by using the function on the Personal Access Display Device currently in his hand.

Como Carpathia: Thank you, William! I’m looking at it right now and will be sending you a reply so you can forward the message directly to Whitestar when I complete it.

The Commodore read the message the Chief Ops Officer forwarded to him from Capt Daqtorgh and couldn’t think of any reason for Whitestar to dock at SB34. It would be best for them to continue going through the manifest and finding other vessels that had contact with the Bajoran colony. This way they could render aid to the ships out there that were in desperate need of assistance. Once E.J.’s reply was complete, the Commodore forwarded it to the Ops/Communications Station for LtCmdr Trylon to send to Capt Daqtorgh aboard the USS Whitestar.

Como Carpathia: There you go! Send that on to Whitestar and wish them the best of luck on behalf of myself and the gallant crew of the USS Infiniti!

With the message sent to the Chief Ops Officer, the Commodore returned his attention to the game on his PADD that he had been playing before the message came in from the Akira Class Starship. The game was just to pass the time before it was Infiniti’s turn to bring up refugees from New Bajor. Once the process was complete, all the ships would move to a safe distance so Adm Arayuss could use the Genesis Device to eradicate all of the Xenomorphs and every other living thing on the planet’s surface. This would allow the people of Bajor to rebuild a new colony on this world, with the Federation’s assistance…of course.

LtCmdr Trylon immediately forwarded the message that Como Carpathia had sent to him to the USS Whitestar for Capt Daqtorgh. Once the message was sent, William notified the Commodore that the transmission was complete.

Lt. Commander Trylon: Message sent to the USS Whitestar for Capt Daqtorgh, Commodore!

The Chief Ops Officer continued scanning the areas around the extraction site for any movement that could be identified as Xenomorph activity. The last thing William wanted was for a mass of those horrid creatures to get the jump on those poor children waiting to transport off the surface of once was a decent place to reside, and had now become what couldn't be better described as a HELL HOLE!

As Chris was getting the sensor readouts from the 58th Squadron which showed there was no Xenomorph activity in the area, he saw the message from LtCmdr Boffi, the Chief Ops/Com Officer aboard Oriskany. Looking over towards the Transporter Enhancers, the Marine Captain could see the next group of 40 children were standing there in the rain, waiting to be transported up to the Sovereign Class Starship. Returning back to the console in the ISSCV, Chris sent a message back to LtCmdr Boffi which indicated the next group were wet and ready for beam out. Once the message was sent, the Marine Captain addressed the children that were about to be transported up to the ship waiting in orbit.

MCpt Lopez: Okay, it's time for you guys to beam up to Oriskany! It's warm and dry up there, and you will all get something good to eat and can relax in the safety of a Sovereign Class Starship! Just hang tight, I just confirmed you're all ready, so you should be transporting any second!

The Marine Detachment Commander waited in the doorway of the ISSCV for the child refugees to beam up to the Starship in orbit above them. Chris wished the ISSCV came with more than 3 Transporter Enhancers, so they wouldn't be limited to just 40 people at a time to beam up. This was going to take quite some time at this rate and MCpt Lopez was getting worried the 58th Squadron would be detecting a mass of Xenomorphs coming to steal the children away so they could turn them into victims of the embryo system back in the power facility in New Rakantha.

As the 1st Lieutenant watched the children beam up to Oriskany with MCpt Lopez, Tony heard a message tone from the Com Station. Walking over to read the message, 1Lt. Parra saw what the message entailed and immediately went out to where the Transporter Enhancers were and informed the children to stand clear, that more enhancing devices were beaming down so more refugees could beam up! Once the children were clear, Tony let MCpt Lopez know they were ready down here for the items coming down from Oriskany.

1Lt. Parra: Captain Lopez, I've cleared the area for Oriskany to beam down more Transporter Enhancers so we can beam up more child refugees to their ship, and the others, once they've reached their maximum occupancy.

The Deputy Detachment Commander returned to the inside of the ISSCV and informed Oriskany's Chief Ops/Com Officer, LtCmdr Boffi, that the extraction site was ready to receive the Transporter Enhancers. Once they arrived, the 1st Lieutenant would start setting them up with the assistance of LCpl Hudson since he was their enlisted technician on the scene. If for some reason they needed more assistance setting up the enhancers, Tony was sure the Engineer on loan from Whitestar would be glad to help out as well.

The Marine Captain heard 1Lt. Parra call out that Oriskany would be beaming down the Transporter Enhancers, and sure enough in a matter of moments, they appeared within the first group of enhancers that were setup. Chris called out to Tony and informed the 1st Lieutenant they arrived…

MCpt Lopez: The Transporter Enhancers from Oriskany are here, Tony! Let’s get down there and set them up! Then we’ll let Oriskany know we’ve got more kids to send up! So let’s snap to it!

Chris walked out into the rain with Tony and with the help of LCpl Hudson; they removed the enhancers from the area they were beamed down into and quickly set them up in a triangular format and activated each of the 6 enhancers. Once they were all setup and ready, MCpt Lopez called over 2 more groups of 40 children in order to beam up another 80 to the USS Oriskany in orbit above them. Once there were 40 child refugees in each of the new setups of enhancers, Chris ran inside the ISSCV and sent a message to LtCmdr Boffi and let him know there were 80 children waiting to beam up. The Marine Captain knew it wouldn’t be long before they would be sending up 120 kids at a time. This would considerably cut down on the amount of time it would take to get the children off New Bajor. Chris knew it would be good for all of them to be out of the rain as soon as possible. So MCpt Lopez was looking forward to sending up 120 children each time.

As William monitored the Ops Station, an incoming hail came from the USS Sutherland! The communication was from VAdm Martinelli, so LtCmdr Trylon immediately informed Como Carpathia of the incoming call from the Chief of Fleet Operations.

Lt. Commander Trylon: Incoming hail from Vice Admiral Martinelli aboard Sutherland, Commodore! Would you like to take it here or in your Ready Room, Sir?

While the Chief Operations Officer waited to hear from the Commodore, William continued to monitor his station for anything that was out of the ordinary. The Lieutenant Commander wanted to make sure nothing was going to surprise him, that way he wouldn't have to inform Como Carpathia something unexpectedly was amiss by something LtCmdr Trylon overlooked.

The Commodore turned towards the rear of the Bridge and informed LtCmdr Trylon to put the Vice Admiral on the Main Viewscreen here on the Command Deck. Since the communication wasn't flagged as private, E.J. saw no need to take the call in his Ready Room.

Como Carpathia: Go ahead and put the Vice Admiral up on the Main Viewscreen, William. Since it's not flagged as private, there's no reason for me to chat with him in my Ready Room.

In a few moments, on the Main Viewscreen, appeared the Chief of Fleet Operations, sitting in the Captain's Chair on the Bridge of the USS Sutherland. From the years the Commodore has known VAdm Martinelli, E.J. had never seen Tony look so worried. Standing in front of the CO's Chair, Como Carpathia waited on the Vice Admiral to speak.

VAdm Martinelli: Vice Admiral Martinelli to Infiniti and Oriskany. There's a horde of Xenomoprhs rapidly approaching the extraction site, so we'll need to move quickly if we're going to save all of those children on the surface. Captain Calzada, as soon as your finished beaming up the last of the refugees your ship can handle, inform Commodore Carpathia so they can begin the atmospheric penetration process of getting down there and beaming up as many of the pre-screened refugees as they can. Eureka will be doing the same, as well as Sutherland, when the time comes. The Wildcards will be protecting the extraction site as best they can, so in the event Xenomorphs get by them, the Marines at the site itself will engage the infernal beasts. If there's any refugees leftover, Admiral Arayuss will pick them up with Explorer. Once all the children are safe, we're to leave the system as soon as possible and head for Starbase 34. Explorer will remain behind to use the Genesis Device and depart before it detonates. We can do this if we all work together, so let's get to it! That is all! Sutherland out!

The image of the Vice Admiral on the Bridge of Sutherland vanished from the Main Viewscreen, leaving the image of their position above New Bajor on the screen. This was truly an emergency situation, and E.J. began issuing an order to the XO that was present on the Bridge.

Como Carpathia: Aléjandro, prepare Infiniti for BLUE ALERT! We'll be going into the atmosphere so we can get those refugees off the extraction site as soon as possible. I want to be able to bring up as many as we can, make it so, Number One!

The CO looked at Cmdr Delgado and waited for him to take action and prepare Infiniti to enter the atmosphere of New Bajor. Even with the storms going on because of the defective weather control system, Infiniti was capable of landing on a planet's surface. But in this instance, they wouldn't be coming to a complete landing due to the Xenomorph threat. The Intrepid Class Starship would only need to hover above the extraction site and beam up as many refugees that had already been checked by Dr. Sarrlak and his medical team. E.J. did not want to take the chance of another Xenomorph getting aboard Infiniti and having his Yeoman chasing it into the Jeffries Tubes throughout the ship and having to flush it out into space through the Impulse Exhaust Manifold. The Commodore and those involved felt it was a once in a lifetime horror that didn't need to be repeated a second time.

Aléjandro stood from the XO's chair he was seated in and began the procedure for BLUE ALERT, which was the status for bringing Infiniti into the atmosphere of a planet for landing, but in this case they would be hovering above the extraction site.

Cmdr Delgado: Delgado to Chief Petty Officer Florenté! We're going to a CODE BLUE situation, take the Warp Core offline and vent all plasma from the nacelles! Transfer all available power to the atmospheric thrusters! Standby to commence insertion in the atmosphere, we'll be hovering above the extraction site!

Turning towards the rear of the Bridge, the XO nodded towards LtCmdr D'Shoua at the Sec/Tac Station, for him to proceed with getting the ship secured for BLUE ALERT. Aléjandro walked over to the Flight Control Station and was curious to see if Lt. Florenté was up to bringing Infiniti into the atmosphere. If the Lieutenant was unsure of himself, the Commander knew he could just temporarily take over for Joey during the flight down to the extraction site.

While at the Master Systems Display Console, Jamie heard Cmdr Delgado over his Combadge so the Chief Petty Officer tapped his badge in order to respond to the Executive Officer.

CPO Florenté: Understood, Commander! We'll be ready down here in Engineering for atmospheric insertion in a matter of moments!

Turning towards Cwmn Flores, Jamie instructed him to follow through what Cmdr Delgado had ordered.

CPO Florenté: Aiden, take the Warp Core offline and vent all plasma from the nacelles! I'll transfer all available power to the atmospheric thrusters! Let's get moving, Crewman!

Doing what Jamie did best, the Chief Petty Officer routed all the available power using the Master Systems Display Console. While that was going on, Cwmn Flores took the Warp Core offline and began venting all the plasma from the nacelles. It wasn't long at all before Infiniti was ready to enter the atmosphere of New Bajor and descend to the extraction site. Calling out to Cmdr Delgado who was still on the Chief Engineer's Combadge, Jamie let the XO know Engineering was standing by at CODE BLUE.

CPO Florenté: Commander, Engineering is standing by at CODE BLUE! Warp Core is offline and plasma has been vented from the nacelles. Full power is available for the atmospheric thrusters, Sir!

The young Chief Engineer waited on a response from the Bridge, since they've been informed of the Engineering team being completely ready for the ship to go into the atmosphere, the next steps would need to be handled on the Command Deck. Jamie loved being aboard this Intrepid Class Starship, there was just never a dull moment when it came to becoming a member of Infiniti's crew.

Jared acknowledged Cmdr Delgado's nod with one of his own before tapping the panel on the Sec/Tac Console for the ship-wide addressing system and made an announcement to the entire crew.

Lt. Commander D'Shoua: Lieutenant Commander D'Shoua to all hands! Go to Blue Alert and report to Code Blue Stations!

The Chief Sec/Tac Officer maintained a watchful eye over all the systems available at his station. Jared wondered if the ship's weapons would be needed to assist the Wildcards with preventing the Xenomorphs with reaching the extraction site. Torpedoes would be too powerful to launch at such close range, but Infiniti's Phasers should work as a deterrent against those horrible monsters.
