Sickbay - Deck 8

Maxwell looked back down at the young Yeoman and smiled. The Doctor saw no reason why Ens Montoya couldn't use the terminal in his office, so he let the Ensign know he was free to use it.

Cmdr Edison: Sure Gus! Help yourself! Thank you for being so quick to follow up on this for me.

The Chief Medical Officer returned to watching the vitals on Capt Sull. Slowly but surely, Azeri would be waking up questioning how in the world she got in Sickbay and what happened to her.

The Ensign smiled back at Dr. Edison as he got permission to use the Doctor's terminal in his office, and thanked the Chief Medical Officer before walking across Sickbay and entering the Doctor's office.

Ens Montoya: Thank you, Doctor! It's no problem at all for me to take on this task. I'll be back soon...

The Yeoman turned and walked to the office of Dr. Edison and entered. Sitting behind the desk, Gus pulled up the living quarters assignment schematic. Looking for one that had a full size bedroom and a guest room with living quarters in the center was not hard to find. There were several of them available, so this way Lt. JG Kaaha's parents and younger brother would have a comfortable place to stay while aboard Eureka. Once Ens Montoya assigned them a cabin to suit their needs, the Yeoman exited the Doctor's office and walked over to Lt. JG Kaaha and let him know what transpired.

Ens Montoya: Hey Lieutenant, I have assigned your parents and brother to one of our better cabins so they can be together, as requested by Dr. Edison. How are you doing, though? Do you need me to do anything for you or your family?

The Ensign stood near where the Chief Security/Tactical Officer was sitting between the Biobeds his parents were resting on and waited for a reply. From what Gus could tell by observing the sleeping people on the beds, they appeared to be resting very comfortably. The Yeoman wondered how long it would be before Charrothe's parent woke up, but had a feeling it would not be long until they did.

The Lieutenant JG was very happy to hear what Gus told him regarding his family having such nice accommodations. Charrothe thanked the Yeoman and let him know there wasn't anything needed at this time.

Lt. JG Kaaha: Thank you very much, Gus! My parents and I don't need anything at this time, but if a need comes up, I'll be sure to let you know.

The Chief Security/Tactical Officer continued watching over his parents, all while hoping Charrothe's younger brother Jerdan was doing alright on the surface of New Bajor with the Marines from USS Infiniti. Lt. JG Kaaha was so relieved that the Xenomorph embryos were removed from his parents. The Lieutenant JG began trying to think of a way to thank Dr. Edison for his meticulous work on removing those horrible, deadly creatures from his parents' bodies.

Gus smiled at Lt. JG Kaaha and slightly bowed his head to show respect to the Lieutenant JG as he responded. The Ensign really liked the Chief Security/Tactical Officer. Gus would do anything for anyone he considered a friend and it showed in the way the Yeoman replied.

Ens Montoya: You got it, Lieutenant! If you need anything at all, you know who to call, Sir!

The Ensign went and took a seat not far from where Capt Sull was resting and wondered when she would be waking up. Gus also thought if the Captain was waking soon, as Dr. Edison had indicated, perhaps Capt Bennet should be notified. Quietly, Ens Montoya made the suggestion to the Doctor.

Ens Montoya: Doctor? If Captain Sull will be waking soon, shouldn't Captain Bennet be notified? That way the Captain could be here when Captain Sull wakes up.

The Yeoman smiled at Dr. Edison as Gus waited in the chair to hear the Doctor's response. If the Chief Medical Officer wished, Ens Montoya would notify Capt Bennet for him. Since Cmdr Sladek was asleep in the Arboretum, Gus had plenty of down time until he was ordered to do something else.

Maxwell turned and looked over at Gus, sitting in the chair, and thought about what the Ensign said about contacting Capt Bennet. It was a good idea and proper protocol for the situation. Nodding and smiling at the Yeoman, Dr. Edison tapped his Combadge and called out to Capt Bennet, who was probably on the Bridge.

Cmdr Edison: Sickbay to Bridge! Captain Bennet, Captain Sull will be waking up very soon and I'm sure she'll have a bunch of questions for you. I think it best that you come down here as soon as you can.

The Chief Medical Officer waited to hear whether or not Capt Bennet was on her way to Sickbay. Most likely the Captain would respond rather quickly to the Doctor, so Maxwell knew it wouldn't be very long before he heard from her. Dr. Edison returned his gaze at the monitors showing the structure of Capt Sull's brain completely reconstructed. The Doctor was pleased with the way his skills along with the Sull symbiote was able to repair Azeri's cerebellum. There was now, no sign of the hemorrhagic stroke that occurred to Capt Azeri Sull!

Bridge - Deck 2

While the Captain was sitting in the center seat on the Bridge, she heard the voice of Dr. Edison come over her Combadge! The Doctor informed Claire that Capt Sull was expected to wake soon, so Capt Bennet should make her way to Sickbay as soon as possible. The Captain rose from her chair and since Cmdr Sladek was busy getting his tour, Claire decided to leave the Bridge in the capable hands of Lt. Gutiérrez.

Capt Bennet: I'm on my way, Doctor! Mateo, you have the Bridge! I'll be in Sickbay if you need me.

Claire walked over to the Turbolift and took it down to Deck 8 where she exited and made her way a short distance to the doors leading to the interior of Sickbay. As the CO entered the medical area of Eureka, Capt Bennet first noticed Ens Montoya sitting in a seat close to where Dr. Edison was observing Capt Sull's monitor screens. If Gus was here, where was Cmdr Sladek? The Captain knew she would be asking that question as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Looking over towards Lt. Kaaha with his parents, Claire smiled and could see on on the faces of all three of them that they were all feeling fine. Walking closer to where the Doctor was standing, the Captain spoke quietly to Dr. Edison...

Capt Bennet: Do you have any idea how long until Captain Sull wakes up, Max?

As the CO waited for a reply from Dr. Edison in regard to how long it would be before Capt Sull woke, Claire looked over at Gus with an expression on her face that read What are you doing here? Capt Bennet was not upset the Yeoman was there, just curious why the Ensign was in Sickbay and not with Cmdr Sladek on his tour of the USS Eureka. Certainly the XO's tour of their California Class Starship couldn't be completed just yet.

Sickbay - Deck 8

The Doctor turned towards Capt Bennet as she entered Sickbay and smiled at her. Maxwell knew exactly when Capt Sull would be waking up, so he informed Capt Bennet when that would be...

Cmdr Edison: I can tell you with quite certainty that Capt Sull will be awake as soon as I use this hypospray to give her a little Cordrazine. All of her cerebral fuction levels are showing excellent results. So if you'd give the word, Captain, I'll awaken Captain Sull.

The Chief Medical Officer waited on Capt Bennet to give the order to wake Capt Sull. Maxwell reached for the hypospray on the table beside the Biobed and checked to make sure the amount of the Cordrazine needed to bring Azeri out of her restful state was in there. Dr. Edison would be careful not to give Capt Sull too much, as he did not want her jumping off the Biobed and doing handsprings across Sickbay!

Claire nodded towards Dr. Edison to indicate he should go ahead and awaken the sleeping Capt Sull, even though it was probably going to end up with Capt Bennet being demoted to a Commander again. Before Claire spoke to the Doctor, she looked over towards Gus and instructed him to go sit by Charrothe and keep him company. That way the conversation between Max, Azeri and herself would remain private.

Capt Bennet: Gus, why don't you go and sit with Lieutenant Kaaha and keep him company while he waits for his parents to wake up. The Doctor and I need to speak with Captain Sull when she wakes up.

After the Yeoman walked over to sit beside Lt. JG Kaaha, the Captain returned to look towards Dr. Edison and spoke softly to the Doctor.

Capt Bennet: Dr. Edison, the word is given.

As the CO waited for the Chief Medical Officer to give Capt Sull the injection of Cordrazine to wake her up, Claire picked up Azeri's hand and held it gently so she would know someone was with her as she woke up from her deep sleep. Since Cmdr Sladek was asleep in the Arboretum, he was going to miss out on all that was going to transpire in Sickbay. Capt Bennet wondered if Capt Sull would have her remain as her XO, or would she decide to keep Cmdr Sladek as her Executive Officer aboard Eureka.

Dr. Edison used the hypospray of Cordrazine and injected the proper amount into Capt Sull's neck and stood back, allowing Capt Bennet to be the first person Azeri will see when her eyes opened. It would only take a few seconds to bring the Captain to full alertness, so the Doctor stood near the foot of the Biobed and monitored Capt Sull.

Cmdr Edison: Azeri should be waking up in a matter of seconds, Claire. She'll be a little confused for a few moments, but clarity should follow rather quickly.

The Doctor continued monitoring Capt Sull's vitals as she began to come around. Azeri's head rocked back and forth as she groaned like waking up from a hangover. Although the discomfort would pass in a few moments, Maxwell knew the overall experience for the Captain would lack comfort. Dr. Edison watched as Azeri's grip on Claire's hand tightened a little, to acknowledge that her hand was being held.

Azeri was slowly feeling the confusion and anxiety from the Bridge, all that time ago leaving her body and could also feel a emotional attachment... Capt Sull wasn't sure of who it was that had hold of her, but she did hear a voice, unmistakably that of a male and she was sure he had mentioned something about clarity...

Slowly Azeri began to come around and return to the land of the living... the Captain could now see the face of Cmdr Bennet above her and surmised it had to be the Commander's hand that had hold of her own...

Capt Sull: Commander...?

The Captain's voice was strained, but not by a lot, as if she had just woken from a long sleep and her body was now readjusting to the environment as it should... Azeri knew not how long she had been out of action, but she could feel it had bee a rather long time...

Capt Sull: How long...?

Azeri still felt as she was hungover but could tell she was now in Sickbay and not on the Bridge. She looked around and could see Lt. JG Kaaha's parents but unsure of who they were, returned her gaze towards Cmdr Bennet.

Capt Sull: Tell me everything...

She pushed herself up as Cmdr Bennet attempted to explain all she was able... Azeri could tell that she somehow knew about the unexpected guest that she had bought aboard the Eureka and was not at all looking forward to explaining that just yet...
