Claire was happy to see Capt Sull on the Bridge and her suggestion to use Infiniti like a Transporter lightning rod was a wonderful idea! Since Intrepid Class vessels were designed to go into a planet's atmosphere, Infiniti was the ideal choice to act as a Transporter Enhancer and assist with beaming up the refugees at a much faster rate. The Captain knew she would have to inform Adm Arayuss of the change of plan to make sure he approved of it. Since Claire was quite aware that both California Class and Nebula Class Starships were NOT designed for atmospheric penetration.

Capt Bennet: That's a fantastic idea, Captain! I'll inform Admiral Arayuss of your plan right away! Ensign Ramius, hail Sutherland immediately and tell them I wish to speak to Admiral Arayuss!

The CO remained in the Captain's Chair as she waited to see the image of Adm Arayuss appear on the Main Viewscreen. Claire was actually excited about Capt Sull's plan and couldn't wait to tell the Admiral about it. This would seriously cut down even more time from what was needed to get the children off the extraction site safely. Capt Bennet was also wondering if the Marines on the surface even knew the Xenomorphs were approaching their location rapidly, if they did, they'd have to keep it from the children or there would be a complete breakdown of order and chaos would ensue all over the extraction site.

Marko was also glad to see Capt Sull's presence on the Bridge and thought her idea to use Infiniti the way she suggested was ingenious! The Ensign quickly used his console to access Eureka's communications systems and sent the message to Sutherland that Capt Bennet wished to speak with Adm Arayuss.

Ens Ramius: Aye, Captain! Message sent to Sutherland! Awaiting a direct communication from Admiral Arayuss!

The Chief Operations Officer had never seen Adm Arayuss before, so Marko had no idea what the Admiral looked like. The Ensign was only assigned to Eureka a short time ago, while Adm Boday was in command, and his experience with the Admiral was not very pleasant. The former CO of the California Class Starship was often rude, abrupt and lacked compassion for his junior officers. Marko was not looking forward to dealing with another Admiral who was going to act that way towards him...again.

Claire was still sitting in the CO's chair when the image of Adm Arayuss appeared on the Main Viewscreen. Seeing the Admiral still in the Ready Room, the Captain rose from the chair and smiled, excited about Capt Sull's idea.

Adm Arayuss: How can I help you, Captain Bennet? It's good to see you on the Bridge, Captain Sull! How are you doing?

The Captain was practically beaming with excitement, she immediately let Adm Arayuss know the reason for her hail to to the CinC...

Capt Bennet: Thank you for taking the incoming message, Admiral! Captain Sull had an awesome idea! She believes Infiniti can be used like a lightning rod while hovering above the extraction site! Therefore Infiniti can act as a massive Transporter Enhancer to beam up entire groups of refugees directly to the ships waiting in orbit. That way the vessels not equipped for atmospheric penetration can remain in a safe location above the planet. What do you think, Sir?

The CO remained standing and looked towards Capt Sull for reassurance. Since Adm Arayuss asked Azeri how she was doing, Claire thought it was a good time to allow the Captain to respond to the Admiral as well. That way Capt Sull wasn't steamrolled by Capt Bennet and the suggestion to use Infiniti as a Transporter Enhancer.

Azeri waited as Capt Bennet relayed the plan to Adm Arayuss before speaking up herself.

Capt Sull: It's a small suggestion, Admiral... But it would enable Infiniti to remain stationed in hover mode and still transfer the refugees to those waiting in orbit... But, the final say is yours, Admiral.

Azeri attempted to remain almost nonchalant as she spoke to the Admiral, as if the plan was just an afterthought and not really all that necessary.

Capt Sull: Effectively, Admiral, the fleet would be acting as giant transporter enhancers in space...

The Captain looked between the Admiral and Captain Bennet as if to say 'balls in your court' as she awaited the reply from the Commander in Chief.

Claire remained standing as Adm Arayuss responded to the recommendation made by Capt Sull.

Adm Arayuss: That's a great idea, Captain! I'll implement it right away! Infiniti is already descending into the atmosphere above the extraction site, so I'll contact them now!

After Azeri spoke up, the Admiral seemed a little cold and replied to Capt Sull using a rather quick methodology.

Adm Arayuss: Understood, Captain Sull! I will be contacting Commodore Carpathia now! Arayuss out!

The Main Viewscreen went back to the image of the star field on top and New Bajor on the bottom. Claire looked towards Capt Sull and spoke to her gently and Capt Bennet took her seat.

Capt Bennet: Well...that could've went...better. But he did like your recommendation, so that's a good sign.

The CO sat beside Capt Sull and was as compassionate as she could be towards Azeri. If everything went well, only Infiniti would have to station themselves above the extraction site and beam up the refugees. Claire just didn't know for sure if the Commodore was going to fill his ship first and then start transporting refugees to the ships in orbit, or vice-versa.

Charrothe entered the Bridge from the Turbolift, along with Gus and took their positions on the Command Deck. Lt. JG Kaaha looked over the Sec/Tac Station and saw that it was exactly the way he left it before he went to Sickbay to see his parents. The Lieutenant JG signed into his console and resumed its normal operating procedures while letting Capt Bennet know he had returned, along with the status of his parents.

Lt. JG Kaaha: Reporting for duty, Captain Bennet! My parents are resting comfortably in their cabin, thank you again for bringing them to Dr. Edison so they could be saved, Ma'am. I really appreciate it.

Seeing that Capt Sull was also on the Bridge brought a smile to Charrothe's face. The Lieutenant JG was quite pleased to see her up and about, so to speak even though the Captain was sitting in the chair that Gus normally sat in. This gave the Ensign no place to sit on the Bridge for the time being since Cmdr Sladek was also seated in the XO's chair. Since Ens Montoya was very resourceful, Charrothe knew Gus would find a place for himself on the Bridge to plant his butt.

The Captain nodded to both Lt. JG Kaaha and Ens Montoya as they entered the Bridge and surveyed the current situation therein.

Capt Sull: I'm glad your parents could both be saved by Dr. Edison's famous hands, Lieutenant...

As Azeri spoke, she stood to allow Ens Montoya to take his rightful place within the Command Team seating area.

Capt Sull: I think I've kept your seat warm for long enough, Ensign... It's time you took it back again... Besides, I'm still technically off duty. I only came to see Captain Bennet with a small idea that could help the extractors planetside.

The Captain smiled towards Capt Bennet, seeing the whole Bridge Crew back in their seats and ready for action was enough to inspire even the lowliest of Lower Deckers.

Gus was happy to see Capt Sull on the Bridge, and did not mind if she sat in his chair beside Capt Bennet. The Ensign could easily stand off to the side or wander over by Lt. JG Kaaha and stand beside him at the Sec/Tac Station. Gus would not want Capt Sull to have to stand some place on the Bridge, especially after all she had been through medically.

Ens Montoya: Oh no, Captain! It's okay, you can sit there! I can stand either off to the side, by Commander Sladek, or up there by Lieutenant Kaaha. You should not be standing for a long period of time after all the medical issues you have been through. It really is good to see you up on the Bridge, I hope you can stay!

The Yeoman was very sincere about his offer for the Captain to sit to the left of Capt Bennet, even though Gus normally sat there next to her. But during the command of Adm Boday, the Ensign was hardly on the Bridge at all. So it was only since Capt Bennet took command that Ens Montoya was able to sit in that chair. It was just an auxiliary seat on the Bridge anyways. Any one of the senior officers, like Dr. Edison or Counselor Benz could sit in that chair beside the CO of Eureka.

Azeri smiled at Gus, his intentions over her wellbeing was almost emotional.

Capt Sull: I didn't intend to stand, Ensign. No, not at all... As it stands, I'm not even on active duty, I have yet to be cleared by the good doctor to return to work...

As the Captain spoke, Azeri stood and moved towards the bench seating to the left hand side of the Bridge to sit in the auxiliary seating area usually reserved for civilians and off-ship officers. This way she was just to the left of Ens Montoya and Capt Bennet.

Capt Sull: You sit where you're needed, Ensign, that seat is rightfully yours as much as I respect your candor over my own wellbeing, I have no intention of taking you away from somewhere you may be needed. Please... Sit... And, if you would be so kind to, please monitor the ongoings down planet-side... Just in case your exemplary skills should be needed at any crucial moment.

Azeri smiled over towards Ens Montoya, then to Capt Bennet and Cmdr Sladek and the rest of the crew in turn, to see them all at the top of the game and all but hoping things down below didn't take a waning jump off the nearest bottomless cliff...

Gus smiled back at Capt Sull and took his seat next to Capt Bennet, with the off-duty Captain sitting to his left on the bench seat. The Ensign did as Capt Sull told him and used the console by his chair to check on what was going on at the extraction site below them. To Ens Montoya's surprise, he saw the horde of Xenomorphs rapidly approaching the extraction area! Since the Ensign was unaware of any change of plans or the knowledge regarding the horde, he exclaimed quite loudly to Capt Bennet!

Ens Montoya: Captain Bennet, there's a horde of Xenomorphs rapidly approaching the extraction site from New Rakantha! What are we going to do?! They will never survive at the current rate of evacuation! We need to get Eureka down there immediately to rescue everybody! If we cannot do it fast enough, it will be GAME OVER, MA'AM! GAME OVER!!

The Yeoman was almost out of breath and near tears from the yelling he had done to Capt Bennet, in all the excitement of giving her the information regarding the horde approaching the refugees! Gus had no idea what to do about this situation, all he could think of is getting the California Class Starship down to rescue all the refugees, that from what the Ensign understood, was mostly young children.
