The Commodore heard what William had said about Oriskany being at capacity and moving to a higher orbit and knew the time to bring Infiniti to the extraction site had come. Looking over at Aléjandro, who was standing near Joey at the Flight Control Station, E.J. wondered if his former pilot was missing the opportunity to fly Infiniti once more. But the Commodore had plenty of faith in Lt. Florenté and knew the young Lieutenant would bring the ship to a safe altitude above the extraction area.
Como Carpathia:
Alright Joey, take us down to a hundred meters above the extraction site! Keep it going nice and easy through the turbulence of the storm! Don't worry if it's too much for you, I'm sure Aléjandro wouldn't mind jumping into the seat to take over, if need be!
The CO knew Lt. Florenté had more pride in his flying capabilities and the only way Joey would give up the chair would be if the stormy weather started to really beat on the ship. Such weather would make it tough to go through the atmosphere, but Infiniti was designed for it and E.J. knew his ship could take the pounding, even if it meant deploying the Ablative Armor around his Intrepid Class Starship. _________________

While LtCmdr Trylon got the image of Adm Arayuss on the Main Viewscreen for Como Carpathia. The Admiral smirked at his longtime friend that he had known for years. It didn't appear to William that Adm Arayuss wanted the conversation to be private, so he understood why the Commodore wanted the Admiral to appear on the large viewer at the front of the Bridge.
Adm Arayuss:
Hey E.J. I've got a new idea for you. While Infiniti is above the extraction site, instead of just beaming up refugees to your ship's capacity, you can use Infiniti's transporter array to work like the enhancers and transport the survivors directly to the ships in orbit. Reason being, both Eureka and Sutherland cannot really get down as low as you can without risk of severe damage to either vessel. After Sutherland and Eureka are at capacity, get yourself filled with refugees as well and get back up here as quickly as possible. Once that's done, I will head over to Explorer and eradicate the Xenomorph problem on New Bajor. So...what say you? Will you do this?
The Chief Operations Officer thought the idea, wherever it came from, was a good one. William hoped Como Carpathia would agree to the plan and use Infiniti as a Transporter Enhancer and beam up the refugees to the ships in orbit. It would severely cut down on the time it would take to get the children along with Infiniti's Marines and Medical Personnel off the surface. The current procedure was just taking too long, and LtCmdr Trylon was uncomfortable with it. _________________

As William monitored his station on the Bridge, he watched the response given to Adm Arayuss from Como Carpathia. LtCmdr Trylon was very happy the Commodore agreed to do as the Admiral said in order to rescue all the refugees waiting in the rain to beam up to safety and away from the Xenomorph horde that was rapidly approaching the extraction site.
Adm Arayuss:
Very good, E.J. This idea came from Captain Sull, aboard Eureka! I analyzed the plan and it definitely holds true! There should not be any problems executing the solution to the situation, so make it so, Commodore!
The image of the Admiral vanished and the Main Viewscreen returned to the storm clouds of New Bajor as they descended towards the location above the ISSCV, where MCpt Lopez was organizing the evacuation of the refugees. It wouldn't be long before Infiniti would arrive, so the Chief Operations Officer stood by to open a channel to the Marine Captain. That way when Como Carpathia called to Chris, the channel would be already ready for them to discuss what was happening. _________________

Right after Adm Arayuss cut the feed from Sutherland, E.J. looked towards William and confirmed his desire to speak to Chris down on the planet below. The Commodore wanted to let MCpt Lopez know why Infiniti was coming down there and to get ready for the arrival of the Intrepid Class vessel. When LtCmdr Trylon indicated the channel was open, E.J. immediately began speaking to his Marine Detachment Commander inside the ISSCV at the extraction site.
Como Carpathia:
Captain Lopez, this is Commodore Carpathia! The Wing Commander of the Wildcards has detected a mass of Xenomorphs coming from New Rakantha towards your location! Infiniti is on its way down there and will hover about a hundred meters above the extraction site! We'll be acting as a gigantic Transporter Enhancer in order to beam up the maximum amount of refugees to the ships waiting in orbit! As soon as they're beamed up, gather your squad and liftoff that forsaken place! Admiral Arayuss will be launching a Genesis Device from Explorer as soon as we're all clear! As you may know, nothing will survive the Genesis Effect once it goes off, so we won't engage the Warp Engines until the I-Double-S-C-V is back in the Shuttlebay! Carpathia out!
The Commodore motioned for LtCmdr Trylon to close the channel as E.J. tapped his Combadge and called to CPO Florenté, down in Main Engineering.
Como Carpathia:
Carpathia to Chief Petty Officer Florenté! Come to the Bridge immediately, we need to discuss something of profound importance!
The CO waited on CPO Florenté to arrive on the Bridge so the Chief Engineer could be told the plan that was suggested by Capt Sull and brought to the attention of E.J. by Adm Arayuss. According to the CinC, there shouldn't be an problems executing the solution to the situation, but E.J. was leery anyway when it came to the safety of his ship. Como Carpathia had a lot of faith in Jamie, and knew the young Engineer wouldn't let him down. _________________

After the wet refugees beamed up to Oriskany to dry off in the safety of the Sovereign Class Starship, Chris figured they would be fed something warm as well. As MCpt Lopez was about to check in with Dr. Sarrlak, he heard the sound of Infiniti calling his attention. Chris opened the channel and heard Como Carpathia speaking. The news was truly horrific regarding the approaching horde. The Marine Captain's throat became dry and he was about to respond to the Commodore. But the channel to Infiniti was closed quickly, probably due to Como Carpathia having to multitask on the Bridge. Chris realized he had to warn the Squad, but the Marine Captain did it real quiet-like so none of the children could overhear what was happening. Using the console that was closest to him, Chris contacted the rest of the Marines in the earpieces in their helmets.
MCpt Lopez:
This is Captain Lopez! I just got word from the Commodore the 58th Squadron has picked up a horde of Xenomorphs on its way here! They'll be here so soon, so Infiniti will be using itself as a massive Transporter Enhancer to beam up the children to the ships in orbit that can't make it down here. Start organizing the refugees so Infiniti can start beaming them up as soon as they arrive, which should only be a few minutes. Don't let the children know of the danger approaching, they'll scatter like mice, making it extremely difficult to get Transporter locks on them.
The Marine Detachment Commander looked over at 1Lt. Parra and Chris shook his head in disbelief at Tony. MCpt Lopez really hoped they were going to be able to get all the children off in a nice orderly fashion of 120 refugees at a time. It was a shame that Infiniti couldn't just land and have the kids run up the ramps, but Chris completely understood why it wouldn't be a smart idea considering the horde approaching. MCpt Lopez knew it would be disastrous for any Xenomorphs to get aboard the Intrepid Class Starship. The duct system was just too extensive to be able to find and kill one, let alone a whole nest of them. _________________
